For many students, the transition from high school to college, work, military service, or another next step can feel overwhelming. They are often expected to make major decisions about their future before they have had the time, guidance, or perspective to understand who they are, what they value, what they are good at, and where they may be headed.
LaunchPoint was created to meet students in that important season.
Through personalized coaching, career discovery tools, practical guidance, and intentional conversations, we help students move from confusion to clarity and from uncertainty to a more confident next step.
Built on the Mission of The Launch Mission
LaunchPoint Coaching and Development is an initiative of The Launch Mission, a nonprofit organization focused on helping students prepare for life after high school.
The Launch Mission serves students, parents, and mentors through resources, coaching, training, podcasts, blogs, events, and digital tools. Its work centers around helping students navigate the major transition from high school into adulthood with wisdom, purpose, and support.
LaunchPoint builds on that mission by offering a more personal coaching pathway for students who need help thinking through career direction, college choices, personal strengths, life goals, and practical next steps.
While The Launch Mission provides broader support for the transition into life after high school, LaunchPoint focuses specifically on helping students gain clarity about who they are, where they may be headed, and what steps they can take next.
Why LaunchPoint Exists
Students today have more options than ever, but more options do not always create more clarity.
Many students are trying to answer questions like:
What should I major in?
What kind of work would fit me?
What am I good at?
What if I choose the wrong path?
How do my personality, values, interests, and skills connect to my future?
What should I do next?
LaunchPoint exists to help students slow down, think clearly, and make wise decisions. We do not believe students need to have their entire future figured out at 17, 18, or 19 years old. But we do believe they need a starting point, a process, and trusted guidance.
That is what LaunchPoint provides.
Our Coaching Approach
LaunchPoint coaching is designed to be practical, personal, and student-centered.
Our process begins with the Career inSight system, an AI-powered career discovery tool created specifically for students. Career inSight goes beyond a traditional career test by helping students explore five key areas: purpose, personality, proficiencies, passions, and principles.
Instead of simply matching students with a list of jobs, Career inSight looks for patterns in how a student thinks, what motivates them, what they are naturally drawn toward, what skills they are developing, and what kind of work environment may fit them best. The result is a personalized report that gives students a clearer picture of who they are and what career areas may be worth exploring.
But the report is not the finish line.
The real value comes through guided conversation. A LaunchPoint coach helps the student process the results, ask better questions, think through options, and begin building a practical plan for the next season of life.
Our goal is not to pressure students into one perfect career decision. Our goal is to help them enter a season of discovery with direction, confidence, and purpose.
